WWE Recap 4/10/16-4/16/16…

MONDAY NIGHT RAW 4/11/2016

Due to overwhelming social media support, Shane McMahon ran Monday Night Raw. Shane-O-Mac announced Raw would continue the same format as last week and Sami Zayn would also receive another chance.
Kevin Owens was upset that his rival would have a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship again.
Shane compromised if KO beat Cesaro, Owens would have a rematch for the Intercontinental Championship.
Kevin Owens vs Cesaro
The Miz and Maryse watched the match from the back. The winner would determine who would face The Miz at Payback. Raw proved not to be KO’s night. The Swiss Superman bombarded Owens with a Very European Uppercut and reversed Owens’ Pop-Up Powerbomb into the Neutralizer. Not only did KO miss another opportunity, he was also kicked out of the arena for continuous threats toward Sami Zayn.
Charlotte and Ric Flair
The Women’s Champion was distraught the Women’s Division destroyed her moment on Raw after WrestleMania.
Dr. Phil interrupted to pass on some advice. He noted Charlotte was hardworking, committed, and had a strong bond with her father. However, Dr. Phil noticed Ric Flair was stifling Charlotte’s ability since she always resorted to cheating. In order to stand on her own feet, Dr. Phil suggested Charlotte should wrestle on her own without Ric Flair.
Tag Team Tournament
There will be an ongoing tag team tournament for the titles. Eight teams will compete for the opportunity to become the new tag team champions. The teams competing will be: The Usos vs Social Outcasts, Golden Truth vs The Vaudevillians, Enzo and Big Cass vs The Ascension, and Lucha Dragons vs Dudley Boyz.
Lucha Dragons vs Dudley Boyz
During the first round of the tournament, Kalisto was thrown out of the ring. The medical team attended to him while Sin Cara fought on behalf of the Lucha Dragons. The Dudley’s double teamed Sin Cara and won with the 3D. Bubba Ray Dudley continued to antagonize Kalisto.
Enzo and Big Cass confronted The Dudley Boyz. Bubba and D-Von Dudley argued they paved the way for guys like them. Enzo quipped, he existed because of his parents.
Roman Reigns
Since AJ was the victor in the fatal four way, Reigns would defend his title against the Phenomenal One at Payback. If AJ lost, this would result in a triple threat match for the Heavyweight Championship.
The League of Nations confronted Roman and stated he should be scared since they kicked out the weakest link, King Barrett. They attacked Reigns but were interrupted by a black out.
The Wyatt Family appeared and turned their focus on Roman as well.
Shane abruptly stopped the action. Shocking himself, he confessed Bray and Roman were an unusual pairing but he enjoyed watching them fight side-by-side. Thus, the main event would be The League of Nations vs The Wyatt Family and Roman Reigns.
Natalya vs Charlotte with Ric Flair- WWE Women’s Championship on the line- Dr. Phil as guest commentator
Dr. Phil hoped that Charlotte would listen to his advice. Only time would tell if she would change her tactics. Stealing a move from Natalya’s playbook, The Women’s Champion used a Sharpshooter on The Queen of Harts. Nattie reversed the hold then suplexed Charlotte. Continuing the assault, she charged with a spinning discus clothesline. Charlotte missed a moonsault, which allowed Nattie to utilize her Sharpshooter. Dr. Phil was let down when Ric Flair pulled the ref out of the ring. Distracted, the ref couldn’t see Charlotte tapping out. Natalya won by disqualification yet Charlotte still retained her title.
The Usos vs Social Outcasts- Curtis Axel and Heath Slater- with Adam Rose and Bo Dallas
Mid-fight, The Social Outcasts did a premature victory lap. The Usos triumph was short lived since they were jumped by New Japan Pro Wrestling veterans Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. The veterans stormed into the ring and slaughtered The Usos.
AJ Styles vs Sami Zayn
Both men were familiar with each others’ fighting tactics. Zayn successfully countered the Styles Clash and AJ dodged the Helluva Kick. Styles clobbered Sami with a Phenomenal Forearm to secure himself as the number one contender and ensuring the fight against Roman would be one-on-one at Payback.
Apollo Crews vs Adam Rose with The Social Outcasts
Crews was on a roll with his second victory out of NXT. Apollo used his strength to overpower Rose with a Spinning Sit-Out Powerbomb for the big win.
Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt vs The League of Nations
The League of Nations tried to cheat when Rusev got involved outside the ring, but The Wyatt Family surrounded him. Bray took advantage, executing Sister Abigail on del Rio for the win while Roman speared Sheamus. Even with their first win as a tag team, the long time enemies went off the air shooting daggers into each other’s eyes.

SMACKDOWN 4/14/2016

Mayse and The Miz
The new power couple kicked off SmackDown with Miz TV. The A-Lister’s guest was none other than his wife.
Zack Ryder saved the WWE Universe just as their PDA reached nauseating levels. The two men argued, which led to a match for the Intercontinental Championship. Instead of fighting The Miz, Ryder would have to face Baron Corbin.
Baron Corbin vs Zack Ryder
With no time to prepare, Ryder was at a disadvantage. Despite a heartfelt battle, Ryder was victim of the End of Days.
Corbin inflicted further damage in a post-match assault.
Dolph Ziggler rushed to the ring, eager for revenge. The Showoff wasn’t able to connect with his superkick since Corbin quickly escaped.
Emma vs Paige
Emma displayed a new aggressive attitude and matched Paige’s hard-hitting style move-for-move. The Australian superstar yanked Paige’s legs out from under her, sending the British grappler face-first into the turnbuckle, proving she wasn’t fighting nice anymore. Emma locked the victory with a pinfall over Paige.
Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady vs The Ascension
Enzo Amore and Big Cass trash talked their opponents before their debut first-round matchup in the tag team tournament. The Ascension were no match against the Realest Guys in the Room, who executed the Rocket Launcher for the win. Their next opponent in the tournament will be The Dudley Boyz.
AJ Styles vs Alberto del Rio
Before the match started, Alberto stated Styles was not good enough to fight in the big leagues. In their first ever matchup, del Rio was proven wrong. Alberto tried to ground the high-flyer but AJ couldn’t be tamed. The Phenominal One reversed the Cross Armbreaker for a roll up pin for the win.
The Vaudevillians vs Goldango- tag team tournament
Originally, the Golden Truth were supposed to compete against The Vaudevillians. However, Goldust informed R-Truth he would team up with Fandango.
Goldango were not able to slow down The Vaudevillians, resulting in Fandango falling victim to the Whirling Dervish. Next up for The Vaudevillains in the tournament are The Usos.
Sami Zayn vs Chris Jericho
Kevin Owens and Dean Ambrose joined the SmackDown announce team. The bout was quickly disqualified after Chris Jericho attacked Dean Ambrose. Ambrose responded by tossing Y2J onto Owens. Zayn capitalized with the Helluva Kick to KO. Jericho and Owens were left tending their wounds outside the ring while Zayn and Ambrose proudly celebrated.
